Stadiums are no longer just a space where events are held. Nowadays, most stadiums have incorporated some forms of commercial elements like shopping centres or are actively looking for ways to be self-sustainable. While it is easier to incorporate some commercial elements into a new-build stadium or one that is being redeveloped, it might not be economically feasible or commercial viable for some existing stadiums such as those with heritage values or earmarked as a national icon. This session will look at what can be done for such stadiums and determine some of the easiest solutions to generate some revenue from such commercial ventures.
